“Eggs-citing science that will scramble your brain”: Harvard medical student Dr. Nick Norwitz conducted an experiment on himself wherein he consumed an average of one egg per hour over the course of a month. His motivation? To get more researchers interested in studying metabolic health, while challenging what he considers extreme messaging about diets on social media. Despite the fact that he consumed more than 133,200 mg of cholesterol, Dr. Norwitz’s overall cholesterol did NOT rise significantly as the result of his egg consumption, partially due to his addition of fruits.
